QSM: Stop it! Who can hate you? Never mind! There are some strange people in this world lol. You are no stranger to QSM Kyle, but today we are going to talk about that sexy beard of yours. What made you decide to grow your beard out?

Kyle: I started growing a beard from young, when everyone was getting pimples, I was getting facial hair. It was always a part of who I was so I kind of just ran with it.

QSM: That’s wassup! It seems that women lately are going crazy for a man with a nice long thick beard. Am I the only one that has noticed this? Do women want you more with the beard?

Kyle: Yes!, I receive some very wild messages LOL, but I also do get a lot of love for just how nice I keep it. In my early 20’s, older women always took a liking to me because of it.

QSM: Let's talk about maintenance. What are your go to products for beard maintenance?

Kyle: Ahh man I can’t give out allll my secrets, but I will say scotch porter and Shea Moisture has been holding me down for years.

QSM: How often do you wash your beard and what do you use?

Kyle: I wash my beard three times a week I use peppermint beard shampoo, or I use Shea Moistures beard wash, they have a really good conditioner as well.

QSM: Do you have to do trims, or do you just let it grow out?

Kyle: I let my barber handle all that. In college I used to do it myself, but my barber knows when it’s time to trim the edges.

QSM: Do you find it harder to find good products to care for your beard as a black man?

Kyle: I’m very particular about what I use because your beard is also located on your face, and I take my skin care routine more serious than I do my beard. So it takes me a while to use a new product from a brand, I do my own little research.

QSM: I remember a while ago hearing you talk about plastic combs vs wooden combs for beards. I thought that was so interesting, because I had never heard that before. Can you share more on that?

Kyle: Yes wooden combs are best it stops split ends and doesn’t create static on the beard.

QSM: Right because no one wants to lean in for a kiss and get shocked in the face (lol). But that is helpful to know! Any other helpful tips you can offer men who might be looking for some good beard maintenance help?

Kyle: I would just save have a routine, have a consistent skin routine and just keep moisturized.

QSM: While we have you Kyle. What are you up to these days? Any exciting projects we can look out for?

Kyle: Because I was so lowkey last year I have a list of shoots I will be creating for myself. I got my love back for being in front of the camera, so I’m really excited about getting back out there.

QSM: We are also excited about watching your journey. Can’t wait to see you back out there. Please tell people where they can follow you.

Kyle: and as alwaysss you can find me on IG Ladiesluvk00lk
