A love affair with fashion on some level is not only Inevitable, but it is also everlasting. It is in our design to express ourselves through the outer exterior, no matter how modest or elaborate. Some may think fashion is very surface when in fact the most simplistic tastes, will still tell an individual’s complex story.
If you look good, you feel good. There's so much choice, mixing, matching, updating, ways to stand out and personally express yourself. Fashion gives a certain amount of freedom to people and allows them to be who they want to be. I think our relationships with fashion is something that we create an intense, emotional bond with. It becomes a part of us. Fashion reveals a part of our personalities before we even say our first "hello," and it develops and changes as we grow and evolve as individuals.
Fashion designers have the best jobs ever as they have the power in their ability to help mold and shape a story for others. This story can make an impression that lasts forever. A designer with the love and passion to find joy in helping others to feel good, look good, and do good through their visions, is a purpose-filled person with a gift from a higher power. It is a love with designed order.
When I first saw Kenya Freeman @kenyamollie on Project Runway season 16, I knew she was special. It’s almost like you could feel her intense love to create something that makes a difference through the screen. So perfectly, she was a part of the season that showcased plus sized models at the forefront for the first time. What an impactful season it was on so many levels for fashion and Inclusivity. It was in the designed order for the lovely Liris Crosse @lirisecrosse and other plus sized models, to be paired up with this amazing designer to show the world how powerful fashion can really be. Meeting her and getting to touch her garments in person was even better. Kenya Freeman of @sylviamollie has definitely become one of my loves in fashion. Here are a few of her designs with her SheinXSilviaMollie collection through there SheinX program. Each piece here plus many more, are so detailed with Kenya’s signature designs and color schemes. The finished products are absolute perfections, and it shows through the collection selling out and being restocked. These pieces plus a few more, can still be found at @shein www.shein.com. Kenya Freeman is also in the running for winning the SheinX 100k challenge. I hope you voted!!!
