MVP COLLECTIONS AND THE FULL FIGURED INDUSTRY AWARDS HONORS AUBREY BOYD WITH THE 2022 COMMUNITY PARTNER AWARD
Who is Aubrey Boyd
Aubrey Boyd, also known as The Plus Architect is an educator in the school system. He has a love for helping whenever and wherever he can.
What is the Community Partner Award
The Community Partner Award celebrates the overwhelming creative contributions and support of an individual to the plus fashion industry. This individual supports all things plus and big and tall. They’ve constantly shown up and contributed to change within the plus fashion world through their innovation and creativity.
This was an award that the Executive Producer created just for Aubrey because it describes him so well. He is a partner for all things plus and big & tall. If there is something going on in the industry, you can bet your bottom dollar that Aubrey is supporting it one way or another. In addition to co-producing National Curves Day Inc with his sister Zak Bell (CEO of the Jon Marc Collections brand), Aubrey has been assistant producer for The Full Figured Industry Awards. He co-produced The Bigger Picture, a Big and Tall flash mob fashion show in the heart of Times Square. He also co-produced other shows like the I AM Awards, So Classic Gents Houston, One Voice and NCD Honors.
Aubrey has worked with many brands such as, Johnny Bigg, Ashley Stewart, Smart & Sexy, and MVP Collections, just to name a few.
When asked why supporting the industry is so important to him, this is what he had to say.
“I do this for the community. It was understanding my sister ZaK's story that led me to be about the change on how the world views the Plus Size community. It's still an ongoing fight to have diversity and inclusivity within fashion, entertainment and media but it's my mission to create the change I want to see.”
When we reached out to MVP Collections regarding presenting Aubrey with this award, they didn’t think twice.
