MEN NEED LOVE TOO
Sorry Ladies, for the month of June is about our Men, they want healthy hair and scalp too.
The common misconception – and stereotype – is that women care more about their hair than men. Not only is that largely untrue but certain studies in recent years have shown that men care more about their hair than women. I say yes. Lol, it is weird to see how I get more men worried about their scalp and hair now, but men need healthy hair too.
Over the past few years, we have seen an increase in discussion on men’s hair growth. There has been more focus on appearance, which also affects men. Advances in hair restoration and maintenance have also helped spotlight men’s hair. Part of the reason why hair is becoming more important to men is that men are now being more aware of the need to properly maintain their hair and scalp. Technology and technique has changed so much, from shampoo to equipment for the hair and scalp. Whether it's men’s hair or if you are bald, it’s all about how you maintain and take care of it. Keeping your scalp clean is a big X factor. Like any other part of your body, you want to keep it clean and moisturized. Like many other things in our lives, if you are consistent in maintaining your hair regularly then it won’t be time-consuming. Regular exfoliating shampooing, moisturizing shampoo, stimulating conditioner scalp treatment with an intense scalp massage (if you need it) remember when blood flows hair grows, and using products that work best for you will help greatly. (talk to a professional) Not all shampoos are the same; get the right shampoo for your hair and scalp type. Please talk to your professional cosmetologist, dermatologist, a trichologist, also natural hair practitioner, and doctor. To start you in the right direction.
Creating a healthy head of hair is worth the effort. Taking good care of your hair and scalp requires you to take care of yourself inside and out. This means better hair days, more consistently, either because you’re investing in the right products and drinking your water, and taking your vitamins and minerals. Making sure your lifestyle change (diet) consists of nutrients that are needed for our hair and body to obtain from the foods we eat. Our hair is made up of protein, and in order to support its health, we need to maintain a balanced diet. Also manage your stress levels. The most common cause of hair loss is stress, and it’s not just from sudden instances of stress. Sometimes it can steadily sneak up on you, after months of working long hours or never getting enough sleep. Any kind of stress—physical, mental or emotional—can increase cortisol levels, which can then trigger follicles to shed the hairs. So again self care even for men is very important. Sometimes we don't recognize that there are men who need love too. Your hair type is the first step in determining which type of products you should be using for a healthy hair regimen, again please talk to a professional it will save you money lol. Once you determine the density, texture and oiliness of your hair, look for products that will work best for you. If you’re not sure, ask your stylist for help and product recommendations. Amen lol period lol is what the kids are saying. Keep Your Hair and Scalp Hydrated. Routine hair treatments can also help target your specific concerns. Scalp masks are a way to start with a healthy scalp. So again as i always say please consult with a cosmetologist and or barber. I SAY YESS! You know you can always reach out to me for any questions or concerns. So for the month of June, let's love all our males ( babies, children, youth and men) Hair and Scalps.
