Does anyone want to get married? I can’t promise that I will love you, or give you a lifelong commitment, but I can promise you that I am going to look fabulous in one of these ELOQUII Bridal gowns.

We have all fell in love with the ELOQUII brand because over the years they have seen and heard us. And now we have yet another reason to love them. It’s no wonder why they have been selected to receive the 2022 Retail Brand of the Year award from The Full Figured Industry Awards.

When we heard that the Bridal by ELOQUII launch was coming, we had to reach out to Yesenia Torres, Creative Director at ELOQUII for the tea.

Yesenia, thank you for speaking with us. Can you share what the inspiration behind this particular collection was?

·  We want to dress our customers for all the occasions in their lives and the opportunity to design for such a special life moment was an organic fit with our brand that brings trend-driven, feminine fashion to sizes 14 and above. In the wedding market, there are very few brands that offer elevated bridal styles online for sizes 14+ at accessible price points and we want to change that. 

·  For Bridal by ELOQUII, we are bringing our same expertise in design and fit that customers know, love and expect from ELOQUII. Our process is very unique, and we operate like a design house to craft a range of styles and get the fit right. For example, we design each and every style in-house, fit on models not mannequins, continuously refine fit based on customer feedback and practice the art of draping and patternmaking to get every single stitch of every single style to be wedding day worthy. No matter what ELOQUII does, we know and love that our customer wants fashion to express themselves. That is why Bridal by ELOQUII features a curated collection of 50+ styles and accessories from dreamy statement gowns to chic jumpsuits to the definitive princess dress and more. 

·  From courtyard to courthouse, weddings have evolved – there’s no one way to celebrate and every bride is unique. Moreover, our customers have consistently told us that as a bride they need more than just one look for their wedding day. They want an entire wedding wardrobe with different styles for all their wedding events from engagement parties, bachelorette celebrations, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners to the big day, post-wedding brunches and everything in between. We loved designing this collection for different types of brides, their different style profiles and their different events – all elevated looks at accessible price points. With a breadth of styles, silhouettes and even hues to choose from (the color palette consists of dreamy shades of white, creamy blush tones, and hints of soft pastels sprinkled in), we are providing the ultimate wedding wardrobe for their special day and everything leading up to it.

·  ELOQUII always strives to make fashion accessible with affordable price points – and this collection is no different. This new line takes a high-end approach with attainable prices. Bridal by ELOQUII features statement-making separates starting at $49, dresses starting at $89, and formal gowns starting at $299 - with everything under $900. We are giving our brides those intricate design details that you would find in a traditional bridal atelier including boning, power mesh, bustiers, additional yardage on the side seams and extra length at the hem plus romantic fabrics such as lace, tulle, satin, sequins and embellished details. We also have a curated mix of accessories that are hard to find in this size range including belts, garters and gloves that match back to the collection. 

·  PS: We’re not just offering bridal but bridal in what we do best and that’s leading with fashion. While this collection was made with love for the bride, it’s for anyone who wants elevated pieces for any special occasion in their life.

I applaud ELOQUII for always listening to us and making us feel like we are a part of the brand. How do you gather feedback from your customers?

·  At ELOQUII, customer feedback is essential. We are a brand that constantly listens to customers and regularly asks for feedback. We especially wanted to incorporate feedback and insights for Bridal by ELOQUII to not only meet the needs of our customers but also to surpass their expectations

·  ELOQUII has been getting requests for bridal since day one, and as we saw more and more customers wearing ELOQUII styles for their special day, it became clear to us that our customers were ready for a bridal line. Moreover, we began to see an increase of wedding-related searches starting in 2021, with “white dress” as one of the top searches on ELOQUII.com, providing further evidence that the time was right to introduce a bridal line.

·  We also conducted focus groups with engaged US women size 14+. A majority of customers shared the sentiment that it was difficult to find modern and statement-making plus size bridal options. Additionally, there was an extremely positive reception among customers to the idea of a bridal line from ELOQUII since our fashion collections are already quality and trendsetting with unparalleled fit. They were blown away by the sketches and the price, but the elevated assortment sealed the deal. 

·  There is definitely a white space in this market. When we look at the landscape for accessible, fashionable bridal for sizes 14+ the options are still limited but the demand is certainly there.  

What do you think it is about the ELOQUII brand that keeps people coming back?
